Talented Rosie presented with business award

A talented pupil at Newbury’s Mary Hare Senior School for the Deaf has been presented with a Business Studies Award. Rosie Lopez was chosen for the award, sponsored by Berkshire-based chartered certified accountants Banks & Co, “for her effort and attainment of knowledge over the two years she has studied BTEC business.” The trophy and prize kindle was presented to Rosie by former pupil Patrick Hyland at the school’s annual Speech Day. An internationally recognised product designer, Mr Hyland has worked with companies including Nokia, RIM Blackberry, Airbus and Sprite. |
Banks & Co director Martin Herring, who was present at the awards ceremony, said: “Rosie is clearly a very talented and gifted young student who has a bright future ahead of her.
“We are proud to recognise the achievements of pupils in local schools, so it was an honour to be able to sponsor this award.
