Mark Taylor FCCA
Mark focuses on business clients both un-incorporated, limited companies and LLP's. His portfolio includes owner managed and investor lead businesses as well as UK subsidiaries of foreign owned companies. As well as being a Registered Auditor, Mark acts for a number of charities locally and in London as an Independent Examiner. He is a Trustee of two charities.
Apart from the statutory compliance work he is involved with the management team of a variety of businesses on a regular basis through out their financial year using the management accounts prepared by his colleagues.
He advises clients with succession planning either through a sale or purchase of a business or the transfer of ownership of a business to existing shareholders and management.
Outside of the professional environment Mark enjoys, fly fishing, sailing and horse racing.
Martin Herring FCCA, FMAAT
Martin combines his role as the Director responsible for the tax team with a broad portfolio of sole traders and small limited companies. Part of his role is to assist clients with income planning and extraction of funds from limited companies.
Martin also provides regular business and strategic advice to some corporate clients and acts for clients in the horse racing and blood stock sector.
Outside of the office Martin has played golf for many years and is a past Treasurer and Club Captain of Newbury and Crookham Golf Club. When not playing golf or travelling Martin is a regular race goer at Newbury Races.
Simon Butler CIOT
Simon leads the tax team and is responsible for all aspects of tax compliance and planning. The tax team prepare the Self Assessment returns and Corporation Tax returns for private and business clients.
Simons areas of interest and expertise include Research And Development tax credits, UK tax planning for UK and overseas clients. He works with Mark providing tax advice on Due Diligence assignments and with Martin on Income and Capital Gains Tax Planning matters.
At the week ends and on holiday Simon can be found walking the hills in the UK and Europe or treading the board with a local theatrical group.
Marjorie Herring FMAAT
Marjorie joined the practice in 1997 and is responsible for the overseeing and preparing of annual accounts and management accounts and VAT returns. She helps develop our trainee accountants and is responsible for the quality maintenance of our accounting function.
She also helps clients set up new accounting systems and assists them with the preparation of VAT Returns and monthly management accounts at their premises.
A recent convert to golf Marjorie combines her love of the game with horse racing and travelling.
